I am part of the MOD Squad!

I am so excited to join the ranks of the fabulous ladies of Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs. I am very excited about this opportunity and can't wait to get started. Check out the BLOG for all kinds of fun updates!

We are thrilled, we are excited, we are beside ourselves....WE HAVE A NEW DESIGN TEAM!

First I must say, this was by far, the most difficult decision we have had to make in a very long time. We had over 50 very talented applicants apply for 14 positions on our MOD Squad. Which means we had to disappoint a lot of very talented crafters. This is never an easy task and certainly one we don't enjoy. But the good news is we were also able to spread joy and happiness to 14 incredible ladies (not leaving the guys out here - we only had female applicants...). We also have two members returning from the original team, to make it a 16 member team.

So without further ado, we would like to introduce the new MOD Squad (aka: the Midnight Oil Design Squad). You can find links to their blogs along the left hand side...

School's out for summer!

Schools out and I am really excited to get some scrappy time in. It's certainly been a while since I have scrapped for myself. I am doing some challenges from the SimplyObssessed Got Tallent Contest. Here are some of my layouts.

 

 

 

Busy..Busy..Busy!

Wow! I have been so busy I haven't had any scrappy time in 2 weeks (since my NSD Crop at Scrappy Boutique!). I have been working on my schools Five Star Award scrapbook and that has taken up most of my extra time. Unfortunately, I won't get any time in the weekend. It's my sisters 30th birthday and we are throwing her a surprise party. Happy Birthday Lil Sis! I am not sure how much of a surprise it will be because she is getting very suspicious. LOL

I have about 13 more days until Summer Break and then I will have lots of time to scrap and get my scrapbook room organized. Next week I leave for my cruise so I hope to have lots of great pictures to scrap from that. I can't wait for some Rest and Relaxation.

So tah, tah for now! 

OMG!

I am so absolutely excited. I came home to check the GCD Studios BLOG and look at what I found! I am so stinkin excited I could scream. I am happy to be in the spotlight!

I am excited....

Last week was a great week, Cindy over at Jeans Arts Dolls (JAD's) called to tell me I made their DT. I was so excited! The ladies over there are wonderful and fun, so stop by and visit.

Last week there was a tutorial for a Cami card and look at what I made....the card looks hard but it was easy and fun to make.

My Mojo is Back

Yes folks my scrappy mojo is back! Last weekend I cropped with my friend Evelyn at our LSS and I got 3 layouts done. The last layout I scraplifted from my friend Amy C. who did the layout for a display at the LSS. So it's Friday and I am going to try to get a few more layouts done. Have a great weekend.

Happy New Year!

Well I spent a nice quiet night at home with my family. It was absolutely wonderful and even better I did not have to worry about driving on the road with drunks and crazy people. I spent time with my husband and son, then I scrapped and chatted with a few long distance friends and family on IM. I enjoyed a New Years Crop SimplyObsessed, I even won a RAK! Maybe this will be my lucky year. Poweball starts in Florida this weekend maybe I should play? Well I am hopingto start 2009 off right which means that I will try to BLOG at least once a week, so I guess I am off to a good start. Well as soon as I am finished with my layouts from the crop I will post them. Until next time...

Where have I been?

Well, long story short I have been on a Scrapbooking hiatus, so to speak. After 3-4 years on non-stop design team work I needed a break from message boards and deadlines. I have been scrapping but mostly just for myself and my family. My grandmother passed away in July and then things really started to slow down. I need to take a deep breathe and re-energize my life. So what's going on in 2009, hopefully lot's of scrapbooking. I am hoping to get on one, maybe two design teams and teach some classes at my LSS. I want to spend more time focusing on my family and less time with the extracurricular activities. Hopefully 2009 will be a great year, I am looking forward to whatever life has to offer. I hope all my friends out there in "scrapbook land" have had a safe and Happy Holidays. Wishing all of you much success in 2009. I got a new laptop for Christmas so I am hoping to get a lot more BLOG time in. Look for updates soon.
